Howdy all! I hope all of you have been having as much fun for the past 20 years as I have been! After highskool I went to Lamar University on and off for many, many, many years. I had been working with computers and database technologies since 1983 and knew tons about the subject. Went to get a starter job with the city of Beaumont and was turned down. Had plenty of experience but no diploma... Met my beautiful wife Karen around this time and married her when she finally accepted (I wore her down until she said 'yes'). The city job turn-down really got to me, I went back to school and finished my degree, moved to Houston and got a job as a Systems Analyst (I started out making twice what the city would have paid). I then moved to a better paying position working for another company in Houston which included some travel. Then was offered enough money to persuade me to leave and started working for a small Collaborative Process company named Action Technologies where I currently am employed. Then the travelling bug hit. Since we have no kids, just a wonderful dog named Celeste (Un Lugar Celestiale), we hit the road travelling all over the US. We are in the process of buying a Foretravel motorhome (anyone got a spare $300K laying around??? :-) to travel this great land of ours in. I love my job, I love my wife, I love Jesus! (not necessarily in that order)... God has done such miraculous things for us in the past 5 years, it is unbelievable! We really enjoy our home in Beaumont but love travelling even more. Stop by sometime for a visit if we are at home! Can't wait to see all of ya'll soon!!!

Hi all....It's so great to read how everyone is doing...Brings back a flood of great memories. Well here's what I've been up to these short 20 years. After graduation I went to Lamar for a couple of years, but they just didn't have the right classes at the right clubs I was hanging out at.....soooo I moved to Austin area so I could really concentrate on school, at different clubs of course. Anyway, a girl I met not long after graduation convinced me that school & clubs don't mix well and if I wanted to continue to see her I better get my act together...so I did. I married Sherri Junca (SFA-port acres girl) and we have been married for 14 years. We have two great boys Philip Jr. (13) and Braden (1). I have been teaching and coaching in Pflugerville ISD for the past 7 years. Looking forward to the seeing everyone and feel free to e-mail, I'd love to hear from some former classmates.

After graduation I was a little confused, didn't know what to do. I tried going to Lamar, knew that would never last. So I joined the Air National Guard, attended basic training and Technical school. Came back to Nederland to serve my country, one weekend a month and two weeks each summer. Needless to say that was a joke. Couldn't find a decent job in this area so I decided to go into the U.S. Air Force full time. I got stationed in Rome New York for 2 years. While I was there I got married (huge mistake)so got a divorce. Then I was shipped off to Yokota Air Base Japan, Where I was stationed for the next 6 years. While I was in the military I got to visit the following places: Alaska, Hawaii, Japan, South Korea, Greenland, Philippines, The Azores and most of the Northeastern states. Never would have happened any other way. While I was in Japan I met Lori Santiago who was a military brat(her step father was in the military). Left the Air Force in 1991. Lived in Dallas! a couple of years, then I had enough. Came back to Nederland and married Lori in 1994. Now I am a communications technician with Petrocon Systems in Beaumont. Live in Pt. Neches but I am still a die hard bulldog fan. We don't have any kids as of yet, just 3 dogs. Fishing is my passion in my free time. It was great to read about all of you and how ya'll are doing. Looking forward to the big 20th blowout hope to see you all there. Peace to all of our classmates who have passed on.

It is interesting reading about everyone and what they have been up to. I left Nederland in 1986 and moved to Austin, then on to San Antonio before landing here in the Dallas area in 1990. I am a Technical Recruiter for a small company that specializes in the Telecommunications industry. I married my beautiful wife a little over a year ago and between us we have four wonderful children that keep us pretty busy. We love to go to the lake, camping and all night keg parties (just kidding about the lake) :-) Still have family that live in Nederland and we make it down once or twice a year to visit.

Had hoped to go to the 10 and 20 year reunions but couldn't make it because I was giving birth to my son in '92 and had other medical problems in '02. I have been teaching business since we married except for a few years when the girls were little. Since 1997, I have been at Nacogdoches High School as a business computer teacher and Tom is the Texas Ranger in Nacogdoches and Shelby counties. We have two daughters, Alyssa (8/25/89) and Claire (7/19/92). Both girls currently attend NHS (Nacogdoches High School), class of '07 and class of '10. Alyssa is a varsity cheerleader and defender on the girls' soccer team. Claire is the high school mascot, Duke the Dragon. My parents, my brother, my sister, and my grandmother all still live in the Mid-County area. Everyone in the family is doing well.

Well, I did not graduate with ya'll, but I did get my diploma and attended Lamar University. It brings back many good memories reading everyone's bios. I think I worked for every company in Beaumont that shut the doors. I was recently laid off. I opened a candle shop at the old sonic in Port Neches. Business is great. The a/c comes on and it stills smells like a #1 cheeseburger...l I am not married but in a serious relationship with a wonderful guy. No kids. Just pet ducks.

Hey all! What a trip reading about everybody. I’m looking forward to seeing old friends and partying hard on reunion night. I spent 6 years in the air force working on fighter jets. Got out in 1990. Started working for team industrial finding leaks and fixing them in the plants. It pays the bills. You never realize how cool Nederland is till you leave it for awhile. I currently live in Port Neches. I’m divorced after 16 years of marriage and trying to get used to the single thing again. It sucks. I’ve got 2 girls ages 14 and 8, Megan and Kelsey. They go to Cow School and Helena Park. Hey what does anybody think of a drag reunion. Get together and just cruise the drag. Maybe we could get a radio station to help out. Get permission from the City of Nederland and make it legal like. Just a thought. Oh well. I’ll see yall at the big event. Take care till then.

As of August 2006 I'm still a mom, wife, artist, tired. I did graduate with honors with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. I am now an Associate Graphic Designer with Southwest Museum Services, a design/build firm specializing in historical museums around the country. It's a very interesting and fun career. I have three sons, 17, 14 and 6. My whole family is music-obsessed, which means my house is loud with kids playing drums, bass and guitar. I love it. We see a lot of concerts, take lots of music lessons and talk music often - the common thread among us. Since the last reunion I am so happy to say that I've reconnected with some old friends and we are always having fun together. I look forward to 25 as another opportunity to catch up with ya'll again!

Greetings from the Great White Northland of Minnesota. Since we graduated I fumbled around our home area, found a wife, got AWAY from her but not before we had a wonderful son named Robert. I then found my niche in the Air Force for a few years. Got to travel to a few "interesting" places. The best part is I found my wife. Her name is Debra. We have been blessed with two wonderful children, Danielle and Austin. The Air Force moved us around a little. We started in Fort Worth, then Wichita Falls, Montgomery Alabama, and finally Oklahoma City. We got tired of the moving and the uncertainty of the military so I got out and moved to Minnesota, which is where Debra is from. Yes, it is cold here, but is is also very beautiful. Currently I'm working for ING's Insurance groups. Life has been very interesting and of course wonderful for me and the family. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you and hearing more about you and your families. See you at the party! Please drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you.

Well hello to all my fellow classmates. It has been 25 year since I heard from you guys with the exception of Greg Phelps who talked me into connecting with you all again. Well I have been married for 20 years and have a two year old son. Don't even start to ask what took so long. I am a licensened minister. I own Ledet Electrical Inc. I'm thinking about attending the twenty-fifth reunion if my schedule allows. It just good to read about what's going on in each of your live. I pray that God will continue to bless each of you in your endeavors. Would love to her from some of you. Oh yes I was the only black in the class just in case some of you have forgotten.

Hello fellow graduates! I hope you are all well and enjoying life. A lot has happened in almost 25 years, some good some bad, but here we are starting to plan our 25-year reunion, a very good thing. Here's an update on what I've been doing over the years ... graduated from Lamar, then Southwestern Paralegal Institute, moved to Dallas with my first job. I didn't stay but two years, I'm a southeast Texas gal from the Gulf Coast, Dallas was not my kind of place! Since then, I have worked as a paralegal at law firms primarily in the Houston area. I am currently working at Coats Rose Yale Ryman & Lee in Houston in the area of public law. My job is demanding, hectic and a lot of fun. I have been married (and divorced) twice, and I have three amazing daughters, -- Kristin Crawford (b. 1992), Kelci Crawford (b. 1994), and Karli Fotheringham (b. 1999), and they are definitely my finest accomplishments. I live in Baytown, and stay very busy with work, family, friends and the girls' sports and other activities. I am a single mom that spends a lot of time running the roads, balancing schedules, trying to stay on top of finances, while enjoying life as much as possible. I look forward to being part of the reunion planning for the 25 this year. Hope to see you ALL at this one ... until then, take care!

Wow! It is so great to see what everyone's been doing. Well, after graduation I married a guitar player from Vidor and we moved to Austin (as it seems half of the class did!) I had my oldest, who is 17 (eek!) now, we had a band and played a couple of clubs before I had Jon. Alas, we divorced and I returned home to marry again, having two more lovelies, a girl, Lucki, who is now 16 and a boy, Barry, who is now 13. Alas, we divorced so I went to college. Although I only had about 40 more hours to get my English degree, I had to quit school, but started on a new career path. I am now a journeyman electrician with IBEW Local 479. I am also remarried to 1980 graduate James Weaver. Most people called him Beau back then. We live in Groves, but I'm still a Bulldog at heart. We fish, go crabbing, weld bar-b-que pits in our garage and play a lot of computer games. I also have become quite the gardener since we bought the house. Oh, and karaoke...I love karaoke! I hosted a show for awhile, but am working toward putting together a company of my own in the next couple of years. I look forward to the next reunion, never heard about the fifteen, had given birth the day before the 10th, and I can't remember what I was doing for the fifth! (I haven't changed all that much you see...) This will be my first and I am so excited!

I can't believe it's been 25 years. We'll most of you know that I married at age 16 and by the time I was 19 was divorced and 2 children, both boys. (Robert Paul and Daniel Wayne Baird) Over the years I have had numerous jobs ranging from waitressing to retail sales and the one job I always fell back on BARTENDING. I even, at one time, had my own bar (IRENES LOUNGE) from the years 2000 to 2004. Now I clean houses for a living and do well at it. I mostly cater to the elderly for so many have no help or family to help them. After living with the same man for almost 10 years we finally got married on March 17th 2007. (St. Patricks Day) His name is Timothy Luce and has a son named Brian, which we have always raised, who is 12 years old. Tim is a Union Electrician Local 479 out of Beaumont. He is not from here but from Lufkin. I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO THE REUNION. HOPE TO SEE MANY OLD FRIENDS.

This is great. I've been reading all of your letters. Well here's my story. After high school I worked at different places before Ameripol Synpol where I just got laid-off after 15 years, but I'm working again. I got married to my high school sweetheart and after 17 years and two kids we got divorced (God I hate that word ). I have two great kids. Tommy is 9 yrs old and Tara is 5 yrs old. I've been single now for 2 yrs so I go out dancing alot and do the daddy things. I still see some people around town. I never left Nederland and don't plan on it. I hope to hear from some of yall and if your ever on my end of town come by. I live behind Highland Park school. Hey... lets make the 20 year something we won't forget.

Here is my 25 year update: I worked for U. S. Intec for 13 years after high school. That is how I met my husband, Will who is a sales rep in the San Francisco Bay Area. I moved to Northern Calfornia in December, 1996. We live in a town called Alamo about 20 miles east of San Francisco. We got married in April, 1998 in Hawaii. We now have 3 children, Alex is our 7 year old. I had twins (boy/girl) on Sept. 4, 2006, Austin Charles and Ellie Marie. Yes, I am a new mom at age 42!! It is busy but I love it. I have worked for SBC/AT&T for 9 years in a variety of sales support positions. It has been a great place to work but I am on maternity leave now for 6 months or a year. Not sure yet on how long I will take. Our son Alex was diagnosed 2 years ago with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It was very shocking and scary but with medication and physical therapy, we live a fairly normal life. It is progressive and our hope is that a cure is found very soon. I mention this to bring awareness to this horrible disease. Please keep him in your prayers. For more information on Alex's story, please visit his personal webpage at:

I look forward to seeing all of you in August 2007!

For those of you who are not aware, I have been playing guitar and been involved in music, in some form or fashion, since 1978, hence the long bio. After seeing my first Kiss Concert, I was hooked, and started playing guitar. I played with many bands and had many great infamous/famous Nederland parties. In 1990, several years after graduation, I moved to Austin, TX and got a job working for MCI, where I stayed for five years. I also played in different bands and even had major record companies looking at us. Eventually after doing some major soul searching, I finally turned my life over to God. With all the types (negative themes) of music I had always played, I felt led to play CCM Music (Contemporary Christian Music).
I joined an established Austin band, The Peyton Brothers that was getting radio airplay and recognition. We won the best CCM Band at the Austin Gospel Music Awards, made several professional videos, recorded at Willie Nelson's Pedernales Recording studio (I am featured on the Peyton Brothers CD Mighty), and we were invited to play at the Governors Criminal Justice Awards Banquet for Governor George W. Bush! During this time I signed a two-year management contract as a solo artist with a company called The Victory Music Group. They put me into the recording studio, where I began recording my own music I had written, sung, and performed.
There were some internal conflicts, and I did not renew after the two-year contract was up. During this time I started working at 88.1 FM KNLE Radio station, which is how I met my wife J.J., where I did sales, marketing and promotions. I then started playing guitar for the youth group at my church ("Youth Impact") Christian Faith Center, (now Shoreline Christian Center - www.shoreline.net) where I stayed for over about 2 years or so. I then joined the band "One Bad Pig," where I am the current guitarist/co-manager of the band in merchandise/promotions/marketing.
One Bad Pig was a Christian/Punk/Rock band that was formed for fun in the 1980's. Wow! Are we really this old? I can't believe we're coming up on our 25 year reunion! I'm sorry I won't be able to catch up with everyone but do hope you all have a great time. Jimmy, thanks so much for keeping us all together! Here's an update on me...I graduated from UT-Austin (Hook 'em Horns!!) with my BBA in Marketing in 1987. I immediately began working for a marketing research company in Dallas and was there for 18 years! I decided to move on to another comany located in Atlanta as a Vice President of Client Services. I love it and actually office out of my home! It's a great thing especially when you have young children. I met and married Steve later in life (1998) and we have two of the most precious kids you can imagine. Logan is now 7 and Abby is 4. We live in McKinney which is a suburb north of Dallas and love it - the shopping is great in Dallas!! Take care everyone!

It's been a long time since graduation. I moved to Houston and met a man from New York. I lived in upstate New York for the past 20 years. I have 2 beautiful children. My daughter is 17 and my son is 12. I divorced and met a wonderful man whom I am engaged to. We just moved to Birmingham, AL this January. I love being back in the south. I worked as a Dental Assistant, a hotel manager and now I work with my fiance at MassMutual financial group. He is the General Agent and I am the Recruiter. We enjoy going on rides on the Harley and playing golf. I was hoping to make it to the reunion this August but we will be in Chicago on a business trip at that time. I love reading the bios and looking at pics. Take care everyone and enjoy the reunion. Hope to see you in the future.

Since graduating from NHS, I moved to Georgia and started a family and career. I've been here ever since and love it, however I do make it back to see family once or twice a year. I live about 10 miles north of Atlanta, GA. - close to Atlanta but far enough north to enjoy the mountains as well. It is beautiful here and I never get tired of the scenery. I have two beautiful children, 16 yr. old girl and 8 yr. old boy. I have a wonderful career in the pharmaceutical industry. I do think about those lost years and how has everyone changed. Life has been very good to me.

WOW! I can't believe it has been 20 years. I'm going to make this one brief because most of you probably don't even remember this "poor, aint got no money", geek dude. After HS I made a short appearance at Lamar only to bail because of issues you really don't want to know about. Spent a short time working around the Golden Triangle before hauling it up to Virginia where I have been for 14 years. In 1988 I help get a startup company called Quantum Computer Services off the ground and renamed it America Online in 1992. In 2000 after 12 years of dot com, I decided a sabbatical and change of pace was in order so I hit the door for some down time. I married a VA girl 10 years ago and not able to have children found myself flying across the world adopting a BEAUTIFUL Russian baby girl (Madison Noelle) who is now 7. A couple of years later I found myself right in the middle of gorilla controlled San Salvador and Guatemala rescuing my son (Austin Michael) now 4, from poverty. With the stock market in the tank and my kids driving me crazy I had to get it together again and make something new happen. I'm current VP of Sales for Brivo Systems, Inc., another startup, located in Arlington VA about one mile from the Pentagon (yes, I was frightened to death on 911) across the river from DC. Honestly my life was a challenge when I attended HS and I've worked to put it all behind me. Children are our future and there are many that have no home. Share your love with a orphan child you won't be disappointed.

Attended Lamar University. Accepted a position with the FBI in Houston. Stayed until transferring to Austin. Then went on to work for the Williamson County Sheriff's Department and Juvenile Detention Center. Stayed home for about 10 years just being a Mom :) Married Roy in 1988. 3 kiddos, Roy, Jr., 1989, Rachel, 1992 and Robert, 1996. Oldest just graduated High School in '07 and is off to Texas Tech to major in Petroleum Engineering. Rachel is a Freshman at Cinco Ranch HS and Robert will be in 6th at Cinco Ranch JH. I can honestly say that I have GREAT kids! Now with all of them kind of on their own, staying home is SO BORING! I went back to work at a local elementary school. Love those little Kindergarteners! Wish I could have made the 25th, but was away on holiday. Thanks to Jimmy and his crew for putting together such awesome reunions!

Hey everyone, can't wait for the reunion. Well, after graduating from Lamar with a bachelors in painting, I went to the University of North Texas and recieved my Masters degree in painting. I taught at the university for an addition year and then moved to Houston in 1990. I bought a huge warehouse in midtown(thankfully before the real estate boom) and now live and have a studio. We have 8 studios there and we rent them to other artists. I have been working at the Museum of Fine Arts where I am Senior Preparator(art handler) over a crew of nine guys. Fortunately for me since our museum has doubled its size I travel alot around the U.S. and Europe installing art for the museum when we lend out works for exhibitions. So it is a pretty cool job. Since moving to Houston I've been busy showing my work throughout Houston with Sally Sprout Gallery, two museum shows, which thankfully they now have two works in their collection, and a show in New York and Hong Kong. I left Sally and am now showing with Betty Moody Gallery. My first show with Moody will be June 8th. So I have been working furiously for quite some time now. Other than that just art, art, art, and of course the occasional beer or so. Can't wait to see everyone.

Well, I was painting cars from 82 till 87 and was a pretty good painter! Then I got into the IBEW 479 Electricians local and been there since. I got married in 1990 to my beautiful wife Janet (TJ class of 83), raced motocross till 85, body was finally woreout, moved to Port Acres in 87. We're still here but will be moving in about a year or 2. We have 2 beautiful little girls, Bailey 2 1/2 and Payton 1 1/2. They are great and I am having a blast with them. I have been racing go karts for 4 years. Just this year in July I took 2- 9th places at the IKF Grand Nationals in Waller Texas. First time to race the Grand Nationals, just like racing motocross, but have 4 wheels. But the BEST PART of my life is that I have turned my life over to JESUS as of April 11,2001 and I have found PEACE and JOY in my Life. I am blessed with my beautiful wife and children THANKS TO JESUS CHRIST! God bless all of y'all and God watch over all of you for the Holidays and have a safe trip!! If anybody wants to E-mail and chat, (it's been many of years), I would be glad to!! Hope to see everybody at the reunion. Jerry LeBlanc (PS I was allways the quiet one)

Hey everybody it is good to see some updates so here's mine. I still live in the burbs of Atlanta, but not a day goes by without thoughts of being back home in Austin. I am still nursing at Gwinnett Medical Center in High Risk Obstetrics where I take care of very sick moms and babies. I threaten to retire every year, but I can't quite see myself doing anything else that would be more meaningful or rewarding. David and I have just celebrated our 17th year of marriage. He is the love of my life. Dave still works at the CDC and will probably remain until retirement. Ryan is now 23 years old and Seth is 15. My boys have brought me such happiness that I could take up quite a bit of space writing about them, but I will save that for another time. Being a mom has been the most important part of my life. We as a family spend time together taking in Braves baseball games, Seth's football games, and Georgia Bulldog events. David and I have gotten into motorcycles over the past few years and I rode my own Fat Boy for awhile until I decided to be a full-time passenger. I also have dabbled in gemology of sorts. I love diamonds and enjoy studying about them and collecting them. Well, I could go on and on. I guess I need my own MySpace! I hope I can make it to the 25th as it would be a first for me. Take care everybody!!!!

My husband works from home for El Paso Energy of Houston (after commuting for 3 years). I worked as the Director of Personnel for the City of Groves after moving back---but made the decision to stay home just before the birth of our second child. Plan to go back to work when the right opportunity comes along. We stay busy with family, friends, church (Fellowship Baptist), and sports (so far Ryan plays baseball and basketball, but Caleb and Abigail will probably add more to the list in the not too distant future). Hello classmates! It was fun to read everyone's biographies. I have been teaching first grade for 11 years. I have taught in Cypress-Fairbanks, Garland, Bridge City, Fannett, and now Nederland. It is great to back at my old elementary school, Highland Park. I've been happily married to Mike for 9 years and we have a precious 2 year old son. After living away for 7 years it's nice to be back home near family and friends. I too married a Port Neches native and now we live there. It's a great house, but I'll never consider myself an Indian. (I'm sure that will change when my child goes to school!) We attended my husband's 20 year reunion in June and had lots of fun. Scott Nugent
San Antonio, TX
s_nugent@sbcglobal.net
Where in the U.S. is Scott Nugent? The correct answer would Humble, TX. I took a 12 year working tour that went from Nederland, to Baytown, to Port Neches, to Baytown, to Colorado Springs, to New Branfels, to Port Acres, to Groves, to Rifle(CO), to San Jose, and then to Humble. Lots of moving! Just ask Kirk Gillespie, he helped with alot of the moves until he got smart and got caller ID. I got married and divorce along that tour. Best and worst thing I ever went through! Made me take a look at things. Long story short, I found God missing in my life. Started to get to know him and rebuild my life. Took about five years. My reward was that he lead me to my present wife, Melanie. Met her in CA right before she was being transferred to Houston. Bittersweet!
We have been in the Houston area for about three years and plan on staying. No more moving (maybe Kirk will take my calls now?). I work for UT Houston Health Science Center (Medical Center). I am a Energy Maintanenace Tech In plain words, I take care of the Digital Controlled Heating and A/C for the entire campus. No kids. Two dogs, chocolate lab and toy poodle. We keep busy with everything, church life, work, little bit of golf, jogging, and lately I have been spending every Saturday helping flood victims rebuild.
I have kept in touch with a few and we have been known to do a Hertiage Festival fly by every now and then. Looking forward to the reunion this time around, no plane tickets to buy!

Since May of 1982, I've pursued several different careers and finally found one that would pay the bills... I work as an operator at Huntsman's O&O plant in Port Neches. I'm currently in the R&S department and have been there since December of 1993. Prior to Huntsman, I worked for a petroleum inspection company called Inspectorate America. Being on call 24/7 had it's drawbacks so after 7 years of that, I moved on to Huntsman and a 12 hour shift schedule. At least now I can light the barbecue pit without worrying about being called out to work... As far as family life goes, I'm married to a PN-G graduate (Donna McCollum) and we have three (I won't call them great) children. (Justin 9-17-89, Nicole 11-16-90 and Caitlyn 7-14-93) Donna works at Lamar University in Beaumont in the finance department. We enjoy camping, tubing on the Guadelupe river, and snow-skiing. Hmmmm

Howdy from Dallas! Although I didn't technically graduate with the class of 1982, I was along for the vast majority of the ride. In the middle of my senior year, I had to leave shool to take care of my one year old daughter Nicole (now attending UT at Austin). Although it took me a few years to get life into perspective, I managed to go back to college, and after years of hard work have built my company from the ground up. I am the proud entrepeneur of the the 3rd most successful art installation company in Dallas, and have just recently built my dreamhouse. I have been single and loving life for thirteen years! I have just recently met a wonderful person named Catherine, who was at the time one of the leasing girls at the apartments I was living at while my house was under construction. Lots more to talk about, but I don't want to bore ya'll, I hope everyone is doing fantastic, and I am very excited to see ya'll in 2002.

It's good to read about all of you! After High School, I had 4 wonderful years at Lamar University, where I received my BS degree in Elementary Ed. This was also where I met my husband, Mark, in the Baptist Student Union of LU. We married May 24,1986. Our desire for our marriage was, and still is, to follow God's design and purpose for marriage, and to raise and train children to honor the Lord Jesus Christ. We just had our seventh child last January, 2002. I stay busy homeschooling my 5 oldest children. Mark and I are also involved in family ministry which includes leading a church which meets in our home each week. We enjoy our 12 acres in Mauriceville with our few cows, ducks, chickens, dogs and pony. Hope to see you all at the reunion!

Hola Classmates! I am looking forward to seeing you all at our 25th Reunion. I love reading about everyone's lives. I cannot believe it's been 25 years! Here's the latest on me and my family since the 20th. I'm still married to the same sweet guy (Ernie VHS Class of 77). I still have 3 kids. Nicole' (my step-daughter) has had two sons and I am a proud Nana. Ashley is expecting our first granddaughter in October of this year. She's married to an active U.S. Marine - Daniel - (who I am proud to say has served 2 tours in Iraq) and they're living all the way in San Diego. Andrew is graduating from VHS in 2007 with honors and plans on a career possibly in medicine....but that changes from day to day. Ernie is an independent insurance adjuster and has been VERY busy since Rita hit our area last Hurricane season. As for me, I am now working at home - online for drphil.com, as a message board moderator. I have a myspace, look me up and add me, if you want! http://www.myspace.com/dtzzymom
BTW.... Check out the great myspace that Kirsten has set up for our class too!!! http://www.myspace.com/nhs82
See you all at the reunion!!

We have one son Joshua who is 14 (soon to be 15), in the 9th grade, and soon to be getting ready for the old drivers license (pretty scary!)..I still live in Nederland. We built a house about 4 years ago in Central Gardens and love it! I work for McAfee Mortgage in Port Arthur (across from Mid-Jeff Hospital) where I process mortgage loans. In our spare time we ride our Harley (my husband's pride and joy). It's great to hear from or about other classmates.. 20 YEARS...Can you believe it??? Hope to see you all at 2002 Reunion.. I was pleased to receive the 25 yr reunion post card. I stepped out for a few years and the next thing I know I have a card that says it has been 25 years. I went to the web site and found lots of old memories as I read the roster and a little bit of a shock to discover that 18 of our classmates had already passed. After graduation I played around in college before joining the Coast Guard (puddle jumpers). I do not regret a single day as a Coastie and it opened so many doors of opportunity. While working with habitat for humanity and partners in education a fantastic opportunity in my life was opened and I married her. I have a wonderful wife, Eileen Thomas, who brought everything I lacked (brains and beauty) and we have 3 children that have made life fantastic. Eileen was a graduate from Kelly HS in 83. I currently reside in Nome after moving from the big city of China. I serve as the administrator for Harbor Hospice. I will hopefully get a chance to see you all in August.

I've moved around quite a lot since graduation. I keep my mothers address for correspondence because I know that will never change. I got married in September 1989. Have worked at several jobs all doing accounts receivable, accounts payable and collection work. I am currently at Baldwins Industrial Services in Houston. My home is in Dickinson, Tx. In March this year I had my first child, Brittany. She is the light of my life. My husband has 3 other children from a previous marriage and they are all grown and have children of their own. I'm going to try to make it to the 20 yr reunion and hope to see everybody then.

After having left NHS, I obtained a BA and a BS from Lamar University in 86 and was deployed to Germany as a Leftenant in the US Army. Following this experience I obtained my MBA in 91 and joined the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and went to Bosnia Herzegovina for my first mission. Therefater, I was deployed to several refugee emergencies in Europe (Kosovo, Albania and Chechenya) as well as in Africa (Rwanda, Burundi, Zaire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan). I also have been to a multitude of francophone countries in Africa to include Algeria, Morroco, Mauritania for operations for the Saharawis. When I became pregnant with my first child (I have two wonderful little monsters) I could no longer participate in these United Nations operations on behalf of refugees and joined the United Nations Office at Geneva with more administrative responsibilities. I shall not be able to attend the 25 year reunion, but hope that you continue to meet the challenges you face and that you can find a moment to enjoy each magical instant on the way to fulfiling your dreams. God Bless.

B.S. Journalism, Texas A&M University, 1986. Master's Degree, Journalism, Louisiana State University, 1988. After completing my undergraduate work at Aggieland in College Station, I taught and did research as a graduate assistant at LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I began work in 1988 in the utility industry as a mass communications specialist for Gulf States Utilities in Beaumont, which involved both employee and customer communications projects of many kinds . GSU was bought by Entergy Corporation at the end of 1993 and as a result I transferred to Little Rock, Arkansas with Entergy as a senior communications specialist, primarily working on consumer communications, i.e. systemwide advertising, public relations and programs for customers. Quite a bit of travel was involved in that job. In 1998, the combined electric, gas, water and telecommunications utility in Springfield, Missouri began recruitment for a manager of marketing communications to lead 15 staff people and the company through deregulation of the electric industry. I began that position in April 1998 and continue in it to the present. I've been married for thirteen years to Amy, whom I met my senior year at A&M. We have a six-year-old boy, Drew, and a two-year-old girl, Hiliary, both born in Little Rock. Amy has a B.S. in business management from A&M and an MBA from Lamar University in Beaumont. While at Texas A&M, my roommate was fellow NHS classmate Ronnie Jones, now an architect who lives in Nederland with his family. I visit Nederland about once a year these days, to see my family that still resides in the area. Springfield, Missouri is in the southwest part of the state, 35 miles north of Branson, Missouri. We enjoy four definite seasons and an average snowfall annually of 18 inches in the rolling hills of the Ozarks. I will not make the reunion..so have a good time!

After high school lived in Houston a couple of years. Came back to Nederland and worked at Airport Gulf Towing/ASH Petroleum for 12 years. Married Kirt Gentile in 1995. Bought Mae's On The Bayou in LaBelle in 1997...didn't know a thing about the restaurant business but things were unbelievably great. We'd been voted the Best Catfish in the Port Arthur News three years in a row. Worked the restaurant business until fire destroyed building in February 2006. Instead of rebuilding, we just added on to my personal property and operate a catering service. I enjoyed working on the 10 and 20 year reunion and making friends with people I hadn't really known in school and am looking forward to the 25!

Well, I'm in the same place I was in high school, still single and working for myself as a car mechanic. Spend a lot of time working on my race car and going to the races, offshore fishing and going to the lake. Any of you cuties still single, give me a call!

Hey there kids. It's great to read about everyone and see how life has turned out (so far) for many of you. For the most part, everyone sounds like they are doing fine. Concerning me, I attended Lamar University for a year after high school, and then transferred to Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. I must say I had the time of my life in college! I graduated in 1987 with a B.A. in Psychology (that's the degree you get when you do not know what you want to be when you grow up - ha!).After graduating, I fumbled around for a couple of years doing this and that, and then decided to extend my college days a little longer and went back to SFA and earned a Masters degree in Counseling in 1991. I have been a Counselor for Lee College-Huntsville Center ever since. My students are in prison, so you could say I have a captivated audience. You know, there were those who always thought I would end up in prison! Ha! I get to leave everyday though! I was briefly married back in 91-92, but haven't been since. I do not have any biological kids, but my ex-wife had a son who I am still involved with to this day. He was 3 when we got married and he will be 15 this month. I am the only dad he has ever known, so it's really been cool for both of us. I have dabbled in rental property, but recently sold some of it so I am down to only three houses. For the most part, I lead a fairly simple life. I workout at the local gym, go jetsking on weekends, catch an occasional concert at the Woodlands Pavilion, etc. I still make it down to Nederaland fairly often, since my parents and sister still live there. For the most part, I have no major complaints in life. I try to live life with a positive outlook and with the understanding that overall, I have been blessed. I would love to hear from anyone who may remember me, and I look forward to the reunion. Take care!

Well, I did not enter anything here for the 20th year so I decided to add something for the 25th year. I cannot believe I am this OLD!! Gosh where did the time go? I do not feel 42!! Thank God for that. I am assuming that you want to know a little about my life, so here it goes.
I am married for 15 years to the most wonderful man. We have 2 great boys- Adam-11 and Matthew-7. I am an RN and currently attending TCU for my graduate degree in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Health. I will be through this summer and I am taking one postgraduate course in the fall. My husband works as an Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor and is in supervision currently. We have a dog, 2 cats and 2 gold fish, which have survived after attaining them from a fall festival a year ago. I work at Stephen F. Austin State University full time and in the summer I work part time at a local hospital in the ICU/CCU. I am a critical care nurse and I love it. I love to read, garden, play baseball with my children and I love the beach. My mother passed away 10 years ago and my father still lives in Nederland. I see him at least once a month. I take care of him… nurse stuff. He is feeble and frail. It is sad to see your parents turn into children again. Anyway… My third sister lives there with him and my second sister lives in Beaumont and works as an English teacher - still, at Nederland High School. My oldest sister lives in Dickinson. We all have our own lives and mine is busy. It seems many of you have the same, as I have read your bios. It is so strange... I cannot remember many of you. Please understand... I have a horrible memory. Anyway... I am happy that many of you are doing well. I guess that it enough. I am thinking of coming to the 25 Year Reunion. High School was not my most joyous time... But I think I can stand it for a weekend---hopefully.

After high school, I went to Lamar University and graduated in 1985 with a degree in education. Since then, I have been teaching 1st grade at Helena Park Elementary in Nederland. I love it. I have had the privilege of having some of my classmates' children and let me tell you, I think our class has been very successful in the child rearing department! Every classmate's child that I have taught has been well behaved and bright. That says something good about the NHS class of '82, doesn't it?
I have a sweetheart of a husband, Jorge. He teaches and coaches at Nederland High School. We have two precious sons. One son is named Grant. He is nine years old. Our other son's name is Gavin. He is just now one year old. They are both blessings.
I got a kick out of reading everyone's biographies!

Howdy y'all. The bios are great, but catching up in person is gonna be better. Until then, here's some stuff about me... After graduation I attended Lamar and got a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Electrical Engineering. Within weeks of completing my degree in 1987, I headed to the Dallas area to start work for InteCom as a Reliability Engineer. I moved on to DSC Communications in 1989 (the same year I got married). I attended night classes UT-Dallas and received an MS in Business in 1990 and an MBA in 1991 (the same year I got divorced). In 1998, Alcatel bought DSC... and, with the Telecommunications industry in the dump lately, I'm happy to report I'm still hanging on to my job. I've held several positions over the years, currently serving as Program Manager. Given the current state of the industry, maybe I should hook up with Kevin Bledsoe, who I see is a Telecom Recruiter. Outside of work, for the past decade or so, I've spent most of my time cycling (that's on a bicycle). I ride on the weekends (and usually during the week) with friends, or clubs, or at local rallies. I average 150+ miles/week... and have done many 500+ mile, week-long tours in the mountains of Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, etc... and even Texas. Along with this hobby, I try to find time (and money) for my others... snow skiing, SCUBA diving, and wine tasting trips (just to mention a few). Okay, that's enough about me. Now, I'm looking forward reading the rest of these bios... and talking to y'all at the reunion. I hope everyone can make it. c'ya there... Lee

I love seeing everyone (that I can remember) in the class pictures. Wish mine were there. After leaving home in 1979 to be an Air-Force spouse for 8 years and mother of 2, I got divorced then I finally came home. I am now working for the Health and Human Services in downtown Beaumont for the last 17 1/2 years, married to my husband Keith Guidry who works at Valero refinery. We've been together now for almost 20 years now. My husband has 2 kids of his own, so between our kids we have 9 grandkids. I like to deer hunt, camp out in the woods and garden... I'm looking forward to seeing and hopefully remembering my old classmates.

Updated Oct 2006 - I attended Lamar University right after high school and had a lot of fun. I joined a fraternity, the Pikes, and made a lot of great friends that I still keep in touch with and several are from Nederland. I graduated from Lamar in 2007 and moved to Baytown, where I went to work in Sales for Ainsworth A/C and Heating. I did not enjoy living in Baytown, so I moved to Houston and started a 7 year sales career with Johnson Supply, an A/C and Heating Supply company. During this time
I obtained my Real Estate license and started buying some rental
properties and became a slum lord. I held a full time job while I dabbled in real estate over the years helping friends and family buy and sell homes. It took me a long time but I finally met someone who would marry me and we will have been married for 10 years on April 26, 2007. See I do remember my wedding date! I have it in my palm with an alarm that goes off 1 month
in advance. Anyway, her name is Prudence Katherine and she goes by her initials P.K. We have two beautiful girls, Makenzie, 4 years and Victoria, 5 months. We got started late because of some complications. We have lived in Katy, Tx for about 9 years in a great golf course community neighborhood, and have yet to take up golf. I work too much! After meeting my wife, my father in-law convinced me to come to work for the family business as his VP of Sales, which lasted about 4 years. You know they say never work for family and they are right! I continued to dabble in Real Estate and started buying, fixing up and selling properties. I started realizing that my full time job was getting in the way of my passion and dreams so I left the family business and went to work for Coldwell Banker United Realtors, where I currently am a full time Real Estate Agent and am doing what I have always enjoyed most. My full time Real Estate career took off really quick and I was fortunate enough to be ranked in the top 10% of Realtors in Houston within my second year as a full time agent.
Realtors always have to finish with a plug! If you, a friend or family member is looking at buying, selling or investing in real estate, give me a call and I will help to provide some great service and / or advice.

I'm doing great, Married in 1991, moved to Houston. My husband Gary is an Athletic Trainer for HISD, I have worked for the same insurance company for 14 years now. We have lived in our house in Spring since 1996. We have 1 son Thomas who was born February 24, 2000. My family and I are very active in our church. I teach a new members class and am the Pre-school Director and my husband is a Deacon. I had the awesome privilege of having my husband baptize our son this summer! It just doesn’t get any better than that. I miss Nederland, but love our neighborhood and love my son being in the Klein School District. There are people I think of from Nederland that I did not get to see at the 20 year reunion and I want to be able to get back in touch with them. I wish everyone would be able to come back so we could have a total reunion! Wouldn’t that be great?!?

It's nice to see what everyone is doing these days. I went to college at Lamar for 3 years and then went to PT school in Galveston for another 2. After Graduation I started work at UTMB in Galveston. A couple of years later I began working as a traveling PT in Texas, Oklahoma and Illinois. I settled down in San Antonio after about 6 months of traveling. I married Doug in '92. We live outside of San Antonio in Boerne. He was a PT as well when we married, but has changed careers and is now a computer programmer/analyst. Elizabeth was born in '96 and Sam in '97. I work full time managing the therapy programs in a Hospital System in San Antonio. Needless to say, we stay pretty busy between work and the kids. Both seem to have the attributes to be pretty good athletes and their aunt Leanne (class of '86)works with them any chance she gets. I hope you are all enjoying life to the fullest extent!
